Academic Seminar was held in Malaysia
Okayama University held an Academic Seminar at University Putra Malaysia (UPM) on 2 August 2019. As part of ASEAN's Study in Japan Global Network Project commissioned to Okayama University by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), the seminar was organized for the first time in Malaysia to promote the attraction of conducting research at Japanese universities. The event, attended by 128 students and teachers, began with a welcome address by Prof. Dr. Rusli Bin Hj Abdullah, Deputy Dean of the School of Graduate Studies at UPM. Following this, teachers from Okayama University delivered lectures. Many students visited the individual consultation booths to ask questions about studying in Japan and future career plans.
During their visit to Malaysia, the teachers from Okayama University introduced this project at the National University of Malaysia, Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology, and Japan Graduates Association of Malaysia (JAGAM), among other organizations, and exchanged opinions about the seminars to be organized in Malaysia in the future.
