Launched Two Study in Japan Information Corners in Brunei
Okayama University has opened two new Study in Japan Information Corners in Brunei as part of the “Global Network Project to Promote Study in Japan (ASEAN Regional Office).”
In establishing these information corners, we received valuable support from the Brunei Association of Japan Alumni (BAJA) and the Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam.
The new corners have been set up at Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College, one of the nation’s leading science-focused secondary schools, and at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), the country’s top national university.
To make this initiative possible, informational materials were provided by 20 Japanese higher education institutions, primarily those offering English-taught degree programs, as well as by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO). With their cooperation, the installation of the information corners has been successfully completed.
In conjunction with the installation schedule, we also participated in several promotional events across Brunei, including the Higher Education Expo and two major international schools. At these events, we provided Study in Japan information to high school and university students aspiring to pursue their studies in Japan.
Once again, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to all those who have made our activities possible through their generous support.
Okayama University will continue to enhance its efforts to promote studying in Japan in Brunei, further strengthening information provision and support for local students.
