My study program requires studies in Japanese. Honestly when I first came to Japan, I did not understand the lectures, it was hard time to keep me understand class. However, along with taking some Japanese Classes and some time, I gradually get used to the language. Since my language level was not good enough at first, I would have wasted quite amount of money when getting an internet connection or phone contract while not fully understanding the contract’s contents. However thanks for my Japanese friends, they did helped me a lot in classes and out-school life as well. When my Japanese skill reach a specific level, I was able to start enjoying my student life in Japan. Therefore, in my opinion, learning a new language was the most challenges I faced during my study abroad. Actually, it is still a problem until now when I entered the company and started working. On holidays, I traveled around Japan, near Kanazawa at first and then furthermore to the South, I don’t know why but I did not go toward North or take part in Kanazawa University’s Culture Experience Activities. About Part-Time Job, I worked at a gyoza restaurant near my apartment. Furthermore, I also worked as an interpreter when I have time in the weekend. I needed some money for my travel and expensive living in Japan.
I am working as a Civil Engineering in Japan. In Japan most of the students started looking for jobs since 3rd years, while in Vietnam students will look for jobs after graduating. It makes me feel that my job is secured as far as I can graduate on time. My job-hunting experience was not that complicated. The companies came to school to look for students, I attended some Information sessions and decided to challenge some of them. Coming after interviews and finally an unofficial offer came.
Don’t just staying focus on studying or making money, Enjoy your trip and experience while in Japan.
