Academic Seminar at Surabaya Institute of Technology, Indonesia
Holds Academic Seminar -Study in Japan- by Six National Universities at Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, Indonesia
On 20 November 2019, with the cooperation of The Six National Universities (the Consortium of Six National Universities in Japan (SixERS)), we held the “Academic Seminar -Study in Japan-” at Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology in Indonesia to convey the attractiveness of research in Japan, as a part of the Study in Japan Global Network Project (ASEAN) entrusted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
In this seminar, the faculty members of the six national universities introduced researches, the faculty members of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology shared their experiences in studying in Japan, and explained general information on study in Japan including scholarship information. A lottery was also held for participants, and about 250 local university students and faculty members participated. At the individual consultation booth, each faculty member gave specific advice on questions from students. In his closing remarks, Mr. OTANI Jun, Vice President for International Affairs of Kumamoto University, stated, “Experience in studying abroad can not only deepen learning but also broaden your views. I would like you to take on the challenge,” encouraging the participants based on his own experience.
We will continue to promote study in Japan in cooperation with local institutions and universities.
